Jean Porter Lucado

Porter Lucado: Rose Dorothy Jean Weber Landrigan

In her 89th year, on June 5, 2004, after a long and very full life, Jean passed away peacefully at the Good Samaritan Nursing Home in Alliston, ON. She was the eldest of 4 children born to William and Pearl Weber. She was predeceased by her 3 siblings, Helen Weaver, Wilbert Weber, and Eileen Lorimer, and by her three husbands, Lorne Landrigan, John Porter, and Richard Lucado. Jean has two children, William Ian Lawrence Landrigan married to Helen, and Elizabeth Jean (Porter) Guccino married to Walter. She is also survived by her stepson, David Lucado, and stepdaughter, Barbara Sawyers. Her 12 grandchildren are Melodie James, David (Sue) Landrigan, Laurie (Dave) Shepherd, Sharon Cochrane, John Cochrane, Daniela Guccino, Adriana Guccino, Bob (Julie) Sawyers, Becki (Bob) Amacher, Stephen (Chrissie) Lucado, Laura Lucado, and Michael Lucado. Jean also had 12 great grandchildren Michael, Billie, Sarah, Shawn, Alexander, Dalton, Addison, Max, Tessa Jean, Lynne, Bobby Joe and Shania. Jean is fondly remembered by her brothers-in-law, Rae Weaver, and Murray (Bud) Lorimer, and her sister-in-law Florence Weber, her 1st cousins Bill (Gill) Miller, Sandralyn (Hugh) Carroll, and Roy (Diane) Copeland, and her many nieces and nephews. She will be missed by her good friends in New Tecumseth, including “Grandma” Jean’s, three young, special friends- Theresa, Rosey, and Elizabeth, and by many others in Sarnia, Toronto, the United States, and Europe. Resting at Rod Abrams Funeral Home 1666 Tottenham Rd., Tottenham (905) 936-3477, on Monday June 7, 2004 from 2-4 and 7-9pm. Funeral service will be held in Knox Presbyterian Church, King St. S. Alliston, on Tuesday June 8, 2004 at 2pm. Interment Cookstown United Church Cemetery. For those who wish, donations to the Stevenson Memorial Hospital Foundation Alliston would be appreciated.
