Hard to say farewell from way out in British Columbia, I really long to be with you, but with my health situation, it is not wise for to attempt to be with the family, and I so long for that, Alas I must accept reality. I will be with you all in spirit and please give my dear brother a loving farewell from me. May he rest in peace after all he went through.
Shall always love you Jim (aka Dew Worm), and shall always miss you. Love from your only sibling that is left. June (aka Bugs)

My tears till flow as I recall fond memories of my most precious brother James William Wilcox.

Just when I think I have dealt with it “Dew Worm”, I hear “Hello bugs why aren’t you out of bed yet?”, How I miss those teasing calls.

Although you never wanted me to mention “God” to you, I still pray for you to have an eternal peaceful resting place. I loved all my 7 brothers, but you and I were so close over the years. My love for you shall never die. I pray that God’s angels will rescue you. I love you “Dew Worm”, (that is a family thing between us over the years), and guess what “God loves every one of us”.

I was hoping my Grandfather could enjoy some time after the Covid-19 pandemic but life had other plans. Jim was given short notice but he still managed to go out on his own terms the best he could. He did it his way, with his family by his side literally and figuratively.

Reading these condolences here brings up a lot of delayed emotions; Thank you to everyone sharing their story and what the man meant to you and your family.

O.M.G. What a guy, I first met Jim while working at Greer’s Auto wreckers we had grass fire and Jim invited me to join the fire dept. and he was my sponsor. Jim proved to be a great teacher and mentor. Jim had a way of letting you know if you did something wrong or weren’t listening in training but would show you were you went wrong later. There’s not enough room here to relate all the Jimmy Wilcox stories, as we’ve lost a great story teller, historian and friend. Thanks Jim

Our condolences to Judy and the Wilcox family

I remember mom speaking so fondly of Uncle Jim and how he was so nice to her. I Remember him having a sense of humour. His birthday was one day before mine but I did not know that we shared the same name, (William), very cool. Uncle Jim was well respected not only in is community but by his extended family of many nieces and nephews. Uncle Jim was a leader not a follower, he was his own man and I respect and loved him for that. His passing is sad but let the memories of his love and passion for life now live on in enriching yours. May God Bless you all.

As cousins Jim and I grew up in Woodbridge having as much fun as two could have in a small town. He was older than I by some 6 years but we still got along well. On behalf of Dianne and myself may we offer you Judy and family our deepest sympathy and may he rest in peace Donald and Dianne Wilcox.

Dear Judy and Family: I know how your hearts still ache, as mine does also. Such a great loss to all the families he loved. I was so proud of my brother Jim over the years, the way he stood up to all his many challenges and met them head on. The hurting times through time lessen but there is always that little spot in the heart for a loved one who meant so much to us all., and we shed a silent tear. We must carry on as he would want us to. I had 7 brothers and Jim was at the top of the list. Something that will always tug at my heart, is when if think of his phone calls saying “Hello Bugs”, (my nickname) and my responding “Dew Worm” (his nickname) shall always bring a fond memory. Rest in peace dear brother. June.
