    To Darryl, James and families:
We are so sorry for your loss. Joan canvassed for Cancer for me for a lot of years. She was always cheerful and made sure he kit was done to perfection before returning it to me. We also worked together at the IGA in Schomberg. It was a pleasure to know her. She always stopped to chat when we met and had such a beautiful smile.
May your special memories of your mom keep her close to your hearts.

My condolences on the loss of your beautiful mom. When was a young girl your mom and dad lived beside us. Joan always had a smile on her face but it might have been outright laughter when we tried to sell her some suckers that we caught in the creek! She didn’t fall for it. I would bump into your mom and dad over the years and their faces would light up. They had a joy of seeing all people. May your memories sustain you and give you comfort.

Please accept my heartfelt condolences for the loss of your mother, Joan. Joan was a valued, respected, greatly admired and devoted member in our Horticultural Society for 20 plus years and played an important role on our Board of Directors for many of those years. We will always remember her dedication as a volunteer in so many of our activities and events, especially as our Flower Show Secretary.

Joan was a truly special person. I will always remember her sweet smile and beautiful nature. Your mother was one of the warmest and most caring people I have had the pleasure of knowing. Her warmth, generosity and laugh will be greatly missed. I will treasure the memories of learning from her and working with her on so many activities with our Horticultural Society.

We all keep a special place in our hearts for our mothers and I know you will continue to carry her memory in that special place in your heart. May her warm spirit live on in all of us forever and her memory never be forgotten.

    All my sympathy,
    Trish

There were so many Saturdays, so many play-off games, so many arenas those boys took us to-Darryl and Dave and Jeff and Keith and Steve and Sean…….a rupture of laughter would always find Joan at the heart of it.
A heavy foot, a sharp tongue, when needed, and the biggest heart in Schomberg, would be how I could most succinctly capture the essence of the best darn neighbour I have ever had at Chestnut Manor. Sorry to see you go Joan but it was sure nice to have had you in my life!
