Even though my mother is not here in person, she is definitely more than grateful at the amount of support we have gotten from friends and family. She was a great woman and endured many hard days but always pushed through with great strength. I can only hope I turn out to be even half as strong as she was in life.
Here is to her looking down on us.
xoxo <3

Auntie Joan, this wee note is from something Maralyn said today that I’m sure you will love.
“Aww, I’m going to miss ma wee Joan McACoffee”. But her name was McAtee… “Aye, but she never drank any bloody tea – never saw her without a cup a coffee, so we called her our Wee McACoffee” 🙂

Joan was my first friend i made when i moved to Tottenham over Twenty years ago , I remeber her being so excited about her sister Jane and her family moving to Tottenham from Scotland . Joan and Ispent many hours over the years at the kids school boiling who knows how many hot dogs, and Joan could never see any kid go without if they had forgotten to bring in their money, nope Joan paid for them .Joan,s life was her kids Maria and Vincey, I used to think they were knitted ,as sometimes she would call Aunty Jane to pull the wool oot them .Life can be a challenge and in the last weeks of Joans life, she took that challenge and turned it into one of her greatest strengths. Cheerio my pal Joan i will miss you .

Hugs & Kisses to Maria and Vincey, Jane & family. I’ll miss Joan very much. I’ll always remember coming over to freshly baked chocolate chip muffins, and how she would always send me home with the best snacks every time I came to visit.
Maria was my very first friend in Kindergarten, and our Scottish mothers hit it off right away!
Love you guys, I am there in spirit.
xoxo Alana
