Peacefully at Southlake Regional Health Centre Newmarket, on Monday April 11, 2011. John Abbott in his 85th year, beloved husband of Catherine “Kay” Abbott (nee Laidlaw). Loving father of Bill (Kathy), Janice, Nancy McKinnon (Brent), Shirley Fuligni (Dan), and the late Catherine. Remembered with love by his 8 grandchildren. Pre deceased by his sister Elizabeth, and his brothers Oscar and Edward. Dear brother in law of Frank Laidlaw, Irene Abbott and Norma Laidlaw. Forever in the hearts of his extended family.
The family will receive friends at Rod Abrams Funeral Home 1666 Tottenham Rd., Tottenham 905-936-3477 on Monday April 18, 2011 from 2-4 and 7-9pm. Masonic service to be held at 7pm Monday. Funeral service will be held Tuesday April 19, 2011 at 11am in Fraser Presbyterian Church (70 Queen St. South Tottenham).

My thoughts are with you at the time. Kay I was at Anne Manning’s house yesterday and we walked down to Anne’s cabin and I reminded Anne that John and I had walked down to see the cabin last summer.
