Hugh Dale-Harris says
Dear Margaret
I was much saddened to read of John’s death in the Globe and Mail. I remember him fondly, and in particular his piano playing, while I had the honour of representing you in the sale of your house in Ottawa 11 years ago. I too enjoy playing and benefitted by learning his techniques. He was a fine gentleman and a pleasure to have known. Please accept my best wishes and sincerest sympathy. Hugh Dale-Harris
Jeannette M Ferrie says
Dear Margie, I am sure I speak for all of the Coffee Ladies by telling you that we thoroughly enjoyed it when John played the piano for us at the house and at the cottage. Lovely memories which we will all treasure. John’s piano playing brought a lot of pleasure to all who were lucky enough to have heard him play.
Our sympathies are with you and all of your family.
Jeannette Ferrie.
Barbara Wilson & Family says
Mrs. Magee,
We only knew John for what was a quick 2 years since my mom became a resident at Simcoe Manor. He was one of the first people we met there and I know my mother will miss seeing him. Our sympathies to you and all your family,
Barbara Wilson and her daughters, JoAnne and Debbie
Tom J Medland says
Dear Aunt Margie,
I will miss Uncle John’s wonderful organ playing and train stories and will always remember being corrected by him when I mentioned CP Rail. He responded with “excuse me, it is called The Canadian Pacific Railway”. He was a Great Uncle.
My sympathies to you, Cynnie and Diana.
Love,
Tom-the Bomb
R Gordon Mouldey MD says
Dear Mrs Magee,
John’s passing was a sad surprise for me to read about in the newpaper. He, you, Cynthia and Diana were ‘special’ people in my life so many years ago. It was a privilege and pleasure for me to have ‘crossed paths’ with you and I value the memories of you all. My heartfelt condolences to you and the whole family in your ‘loss’ of John.
With my deepest sympathies,
Gordon Mouldey.

Mary Anne Divjak says
Dear Mrs. Magee, they say that no one’s ever really gone while we who remain still remember his name. When Christmas comes and I play Mr. Magee’s CDs, I shall think of him. My sympathies to you and your entire family.
