Lisa and family – You were amazing caregivers of your grandpa and he always told me so. It was my pleasure to be his PSW as he was so easy going and always had a story to tell. I too was born in Weston. As you know, my favorite thing about John was his giggle, which I miss. He is with his loved ones now and finally in pain free peace.

We have lost a dearly loved friend and mentor. John was a very knowledgeable man who shared his expertise in the areas of farming, steam and antiques, not to forget his grasp of history both personal and world. We shall miss him. His genuine care and kindness marked him as a true gentleman. Our thoughts and prayers go out to his family. God be with you, Love Roy and Pat Hastings

We have lost one of the finest gentlemen and best farmer to every walk the land. My Dad always said that John knew just how much fertilizer or manure to put down to get a good crop. When other crops would be laying down after a storm, John’s would still be standing, waving in the wind. He was a great supporter of church and community, and his knowledge and guidance will always be missed. I’m sure that he, Thelma, and Grant will be planning on going to the next church supper, steam show, or tractor pull. Rest in peace, Johnny. You will never be forgotten.

Dear Lisa and Family…so sorry to hear of John’s passing. The pleasure and joy was all mine having him in my life in my role as a PSW. We had some of the most amazing conversations and reminices about Weston…and the people we both knew there. Hugs to you xoxo
