Bathgate: Kenneth James 1927-2007
Peacefully with his family by his side, on Sunday March 25, 2007 at Southlake Regional Health Centre Newmarket. Ken ended his life as he lived it, quietly and with dignity. Beloved husband for fifty-seven years of Helen (nee Feener). Cherished father of Judi Catania and her husband Peter, Janice Little and her husband Larry, Jeanne Wynnyk and her husband Steve, and Jeff Bathgate and his wife Laura. Proud Papa of Jennifer, Tim, Sara, Matthew, Kimberly, Allison, Katie and Colin. Adored “Pops” of Cole, Caleb, Adrianna and Kylie. Ken will be sadly missed by his brother Robert and his wife Olive, his nieces and nephews, extended family, and friends.
The Bathgate family would like to express their sincere gratitude to Dr. Zajc, Dr. Merrow, Pat Miller and all the wonderful nurses of the Cancer Care Unit at Southlake for their compassionate care of Ken for the last few weeks of his life.
Friends may call at Rod Abrams Funeral Home #1666 Tottenham Rd., Tottenham (905) 936-3477 on Tuesday, March 27th between 6-9pm. Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday March 28th at 11am at St. James Church Colgan. There will be a private interment service for immediate family, following the Mass. As an expression of sympathy, donations may be made to the Southlake Regional Health Centre Foundation- Cancer Care.
