Dear Marie, Charlie, Anja, Dan and families
Sincere condolences on your loss. Very well said David Leckie, Laura certainly was a very upbeat, happy person whose life is truly worth celebrating!

Who could not love Laura! Laura was such an upbeat, happy, welcoming, and sincere person. Most of my memories of Laura come from my ‘formative’ years. My family’s house was across the road from the Seagers but I actually grew up on ‘both sides of the road’. Laura was like a second mother that absorbed me into her family and, even though time and geography came in the way later in life, Laura remained close to me still. Indeed, when many others would forget my birthday Laura always sent me a card. My wife Sandy has also become charmed by Laura through the few but fulfilling times that we visited her later on. Laura’s life is well worth celebrating. She raised a great family and provided a wholesome home environment. I have to admit that tears well up as I write these remembrances for a dear old friend. My sincere condolences go out to Laura’s family who have remained dear friends to me for over 60 years.

I think of the many occasions we sat together at social events only to reminisce about the good ol’ days. I had much respect and admiration for Laura. She was a lovely woman who always took the time to share in a laugh or two. Always, a joy to be around. Laura, you will be missed. xo
