This note is to Sharon and Don
My name is Donna Kelly and our family lived for many years across the road from your parents in Cobourg. We attended your mother’s funeral. My daughter Kaitlin and I have been going through old pictures. All she wanted to find is a picture of her treasured Mrs Staples. I know at the funeral there was an abundance of pictures.
If you could send me a copy to [email protected] or to 438 Cottesmore Ave Cobourg it would be so appreciated.

Marie was one of the most gentle, kind and gracious people I have ever had the honour of knowing. She was beautiful inside and out. She told me one day her dream had been to be a pilot but her dreams came true in other ways. She will be truly missed. My heart and prayers are with each of you today. I am so sorry I cannot be there. Love Cathy
Bonnie and Ken Pratt says
Deepest sympathy for the passing of Mrs. Staples. I delivered groceries to her up until we retired. It was usually the last stop on my way home for the night. We would have a chat, try to get the dog to warm up to me and then she would send me on my way telling me to be careful getting home. So happy and so gracious is how I will always remember Marie.

She was a good friend and I’ll miss her laughter, optimism and gentleness.

Our sympathies and prayers to the entire family at this time of sorrow. You can take comfort and keep memories in knowing that your mother/mother-in-law/grandma, was the sweetest most compassionate, loving person ever. She raised a wonderful family and she took great pride in all of you. From the first time I met her I knew she was very special, my heart goes out to you all as you take this journey.
Pati Peever Watson says
I won’t be able to make it from British Columbia but please know that my heart and thoughts will be there. My Aunt Marie was the person who taught me to create and craft. My home still has things I made with her many years ago. I now teach my grandchildren to do the things she taught me and my sister Kari to do. The camping each summer, the trip out east in the RVs, the corn roasts at Signal Hill with music soaring to the skies, there are too many memories to share but they fill my mind and I am so thankful and blessed to have had her in my life. My love is with you all. Pati
