We truly lost an ‘Earth Angel’ today. Both Elly & I are sending a super warm embrace and all our love during this time from Nova Scotia. We share in your sorrow and are thinking of Martina and her family and may God rest her soul.

May peace be with Martina and our condolences to her family at this time as well. Martina is probably sitting with everyone up there at the kitchen table pouring another glass of wine celebrating her next journey in what we call ‘Life’.

May peace be with you Martina and God bless! R.I.P.

As I sit and recall our friendship, it dates back to being a student at St. James, babysitting when you were young, family socials, shared teaching years and our Retirement travels and gatherings. We had such fun together. Your Mom always shared a sincere interest in my family and I thoroughly enjoyed our visits. An amazing lady! Kind, generous, loving, faith filled and so very knowledgeable. We are surely going to miss Martina’s joyous presence as she was always on our guest list because we could not get enough of her.
She became a close friend very quickly as we all moved in on Kingsmere.
Her smart wit and sense of humour along with her contagious laugh will be greatly missed.
We often spoke about good friendship and how this move here was a perfect fit for all of us..
There were many great get togethers where having a glass of wine turned into playing some cards, along with singing songs and laughter that brought us to tears.

When I went back to school in 2019 to become a teacher, I received a beautiful message from Martina. She said something to me that stuck with me, She said, “I always knew you had it in you.” Her words have stayed with me during my first few years of teaching. Martina was so encouraging and I will always remember and thank her for that.
