The way In which Pat carried himself day to day had a way of making those around him feel at ease and feel a closeness to him whether you were a good friend or if it was the first time you had met. From the time we met for my Sim evaluation at Air Georgian, through the times we flew together and upon hearing the news of his passing short days ago, Pat has had a profound effect on me as a person. We are just so saddened by the loss of Pat.
His flying career started at our little gliding club here, and we were proud of him as we watched his professional development in a life that ended far too soon.
He was a skilled pilot, with a wry sense of humour, and a gentle person… the ‘quiet professional’ in our midst.
From Cheryl, myself, and our club members, we extend our deepest condolences to the Pendergast family.
