Thank you Tom for sending me a message about Peter’s passing. It’s been many years we’ve seen each other, especially after we parted ways after finishing schooling at Sacred Heart 5th line of King. I was quite surprised and saddened. It was a pleasure in being in company with the McGuire Family; truly a wonderful Family. Peter was a real gentleman. I offer my sincere condolences to McGuire Family, Peter had – Such a great journey here on earth, may his next journey be as good; may he rest in Peace, J. I agree with Joan, I loved Pete’s sense of humour. I always felt sorry for him when he would talk to Joan and I cause we are so short and he was so tall, his poor neck would be bent almost in half. He will be missed. Condolences to all the McGuire famlies.

So sad to hear of the death of another McGuire cousin. These cousins moved from Schomberg before we had a chance to get to know them. I remember a picture of Aunt Vera, sitting on the couch at the farm, with several of their children with those beautiful big eyes. It wasn’t until we were adults that we reconnected and felt an immediate, family bond.
I treasure the weekend that Roseanne and I got to spend with Ann and Mary Rose at Mary Rose’s cottage, getting invited to Gerry and Collette’s childrens’ weddings in Trout Creek, enjoying a family camping weekend at Dan and Kim’s place, and getting to know Bob when he stayed with us the night before Ann’s funeral.
Peter was a real charmer, a great conversationalist and, indeed, had an endearing spirit.
Eternal rest grant unto Peter, Oh Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him.

I was sad to hear Pete had passed away. While we only saw each other – in later years – at funerals we had so much to talk about. I loved his sense of humour. He also knew so much about our ancestry. Our condolences to his family.
