It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of our Dad, Raymond Freyer, at Silverthorn Care Community, Mississauga. Raymond, in his 94th year, beloved husband of the late Mildred (Hanlon). Loving father of Michael (Vicki), Debra (Matt), Susan (Brian), Catherine (Lui), and Betty (Matthew). Sadly missed by his grandchildren Michael, Steven, Kristin, Lisa, Matthew, David, Brian, Sean, Darryl, Haydon, Alex, Jacqueline, Erica and his 13 great-grandchildren.

Due to COVID-19 restrictions a family Mass of Christian Burial will be held in St. Patrick’s Church, 91 Church Street, Schomberg, followed by interment in St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Lloydtown. A Celebration of Raymond’s Life will be held at a later date. Donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario, 112 Commerce Park Drive, Unit 1, Barrie, On., L4N 8W8 would be appreciated by the family.     One wonders now if Ray and ‘Rusty’ are up there now with Martha and Fred and entertaining them with their continuing GHOST stories all of which happened at the farm on ’27’ Hwy.

    I just heard that your Dad passed away. He was an awesome person and was wonderful to be around in the Wilgar days. I know he is resting peacefully with your Mom. My deepest condolences to your entire family. Michael, Debbie, Susan, Cathy, and Betty.

    Such a wonderful man…he always greeted me with such warmth and kept me laughing with his stories. I will always remember that twinkle in in his eyes and the sound of his laughter. My sincerest condolences to all of the Freyer family. With love, Bia

    Such a gentle man, who always had a little joke to share with you. Spent many a sleepover at the Freyer’s house growing up with Susan and Debbie. All fond memories. God Bless!
