Just incredibly sad getting your phone call Kathy. So many good memories of this Suzie, just want to extend my deepest sympathy and strength to you ALL. Suzie had that way to look relaxed, in control… and not all… at the same time… just a Joi de Vie person . She will be missed.
Sincerely Grant with Gabrielle and Gail sending their love.

Behind that spunky twinkle in her eye was a deeply Kind-hearted and Genuine Soul. A Soul who often inspired me to see the pony beneath the manure pile.

I feel her Presence from afar. Bonne voyage! Suzie may your journey be blanketed with hedges of angels, all things fun, and many joyous reunions.

Oh Suzie-you left such an indelible mark on the slideshow of my memories……..
As you read this Suz, your contagious laughter is resonating with me flashes of our lives- the cottage, dusk to dawn movies, high school dances, the ‘car’ incident, the ‘nair’ incident, the crazy fiddle fest weekends, is that ‘eugene’, the surprise 50th we shared with Wayne and Tom and Garry, our ‘imprisonment’ at Honeywood to name a few.
Suzie , you lived life to the fullest and squeezed out every bit of joy you could for yourself and everyone around you-what a legacy to leave to your boys and everyone who was lucky enough to share a bit of your life.
This mantra had to be written with you in mind and I know you would appreciate the sentiment:
Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well-preserved body; But rather to skid in sideways, chocolate and wine in one hand, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming
“WHOO HOO – What a ride!!!!!”

To the Oldfield and Young Families: what a wonderful picture of Suzanne, it makes me smile and helps me to remember all the FUN times we had in the past and recently. Her and I were two giggly young girls up at Williams Lake; crushing over two certain brothers that lived up there, and many recent good laughs. She faced her illness with courage and acceptance, as she did life in general. Our deepest condolences to all; just keep remembering her wonderful laugh and that will help you get through this sad time.
