Dear Sylvia and all the Elmer Family,
I’m so sorry to hear about Ted. I will always remember him because without his big
water truck bouncing down our lane we would have been very dirty and miserable. He was a very important person to me as a young child and I will never forget him.

It was very sad to hear the news of Ted/Mr. Elmer’s passing. Many memories come to mind as I think of the first we met almost 40 years ago. As a teenager, he was Mr. Elmer and you didn’t always know if he was really being stern with you or if he was teasing. You had to really look at his eyes and see the twinkle (and a hint of a smile). All those 1st of July’s with the cars on our lawn! Mr. Elmer (Ted) you’ll never be too far from our thoughts. Our love to you all. Vickie

    Dear Aunt Slyvia and family.

How do I start to tell you all how deeply sorry for your loss.Uncle Ted meant the world to me we always held him in the highest regard and respect, he made me smile and giggle as a little girl and now that Im a grown up woman I can say how proud I am to have had him in my life. He was the glue that kept our families together, over the years since we moved to BC we all knew we were always welcome with open arms and that hes was as happy see us as we were him. More than an Uncle to us he was very special in every way, there aren’t enough words in the world to express how sad I am for you all.We all loved him dearly out here too.Once again my deepest heartfelt sympathy, saying good bye is always tuff so try and to count your blessings and be proud to have had in in your lives for he was indeed a kind and loving man with a very loving family of all of you. Be proud to know he was your dad and husband, know that he is still with as you travel through life with all of your memories. love

My thoughts are with you all but most especially with you Brenda, my childhood friend. I think of you often. Yes your Dad was a character and I know you will all miss him. When my son Jack was little, every time he saw a small plane, he would say “there’s Teddy Elmer.” He and my Mum were in town one day and he finally met his hero. What a great day that was! My Dad also loved to fly so I will think of them both whenever I see a plane in the sky. Love to you all.

My deepest condolences to my Aunt Sibb and the entire Elmer and Parsons family. Uncle Ted was a great influence in my life he treated us all like his own children.. that even included feeding the animals and doing chores. He welcomed all of us into his home with a smile. I could not make it to his 90th birthday so I called him to wish him the best. He was teasing me and I could hear the smile in his voice, I could see the glint in his eye and the “leprechaun” way his nose would wiggle.

He will be truly missed by all who held him dear. He will live on in our heart and memories forever. The love, the stories, the importance of his influence on all of us will never be forgotten. He will be missed by many people in many ways, he touched many.

As he takes his last ride in his Cadillac to the pearly Gates and into the Lord’s loving embrace. He will smile down upon us all until we see him again.

    Love Paudeen and family
