I had the pleasure of knowing Wayne since I was a young girl. He was friends with my parents and was always a fun loving man that went out of his way to get to know and help people. He had a huge personality,an infectious laugh and an awesome gruff voice – I remember his Wolfman impersonations, lol! Regrettably we can’t make his celebration of life but we send our condolences to Edie and the family. He was a nice man and he will be missed.

Natalie A. Swift says
I’ve mostly gotten to know Wayne via phone conversations, as I would call now and then to track down his son, Matt — a close friend of mine from college. Although I called to chat with Matt, I would invariably end up in cheerful (and often lengthy) conversations with Wayne. He’d tell me stories and we’d banter back and forth. I think there was a time or two when I didn’t even get around to chatting with Matt, as I would have spent all my time bantering with Wayne instead. It’s been a long while since I’ve had a phone conversation with Wayne, but I’ll never forget them: his distinct mumble, fun demeanor, and superb outlook on life. I hear and see these things in Matt too and credit Wayne for passing on such a wonderful way of being to his son. My heart goes out to all of you.
