Peacefully at his home in Malton Village, Mississauga on Wednesday October 12, 2016. Aldo Liegghio in his 84th year, beloved husband of the late Cesidia Liegghio. Loving father of Ivana and her husband Karl Camplone, Maria and her husband Napoleon Aleman, and the late Rocco Liegghio. Dear grandfather of Benjamin and Maksim. Fondly remembered by his siblings Ida, Giovanni, and Onorio, and pre-deceased by Enrico and Dario. Forever in the hearts of his extended family.
The family will receive friends at Rod Abrams Funeral Home, 1666 Tottenham Rd., Tottenham 905-936-3477, on Monday October 17, 2016 from 6-9 pm, with Prayers being said at 6pm and words of remembrance at 8pm. Visitation at the Funeral Home continues on Tuesday October 18, 2016 from 10:00 to 10:40am. Followed by Mass of Christian burial being held in St. James Church, Colgan at 11am.
Entombment to follow in Holy Cross Cemetery, along with the entombment of Rocco’s cremated remains.

It was an honour to have known this man. In many ways he was my second father.
In the depths of hard times, he had a joke. And wanted to look to the funny side of life, amongst all of its hardships.
Always a gag, always a trick, he changed the energy in the room.
Ceiling fans, a cane, wine and gingerale. Pasta with peas and tuna.

I just wanted to send my thanks and love to all who have supported my sister and I during this time. It means a lot to me to have seen everyone. It is hard because I sometimes I wonder why “life” had to take its hold in the ways it has. To see my cousins, and then my dad’s cousins was very meaningful for me. To see my dad’s long time friends was touching. Thank you all. And so it is done, may my father rest in peace. Thank you to Scott, Rod and all at Rod Abrams Funeral Home, icons in our community, taking care of our family for another time. All the best to all and again – thank you!
