Dear. Lauretta and family. I’m so sorry to hear of Alec’s passing. I haven’t been in contact for many years. When we were younger, seventy plus years ago we were great pals. For Alec’s children and grand children, Alec was the coach of the greatest team to ever come out of the THL (Toronto Hockey League ) I was fortunate to be caption of that team). That team represented a team from the corner. We all came together in Parry Sound for what turned out to be a David and Goliath struggle. In our world, that was a very big moment in our lives. I look fondly about those memories and Alec was always the wise leader whom we all respected and loved. May Alec rest in peace.

    Dear Lauretta and family,
Alec will be dearly missed, but he will also live on as we remember him. He has left a legacy of love, laughter and lessons of what a good man with integrity, deep love for his family and affection for all of his friends and neighbours looks like. He was a kind man with a heart of gold for everyone, and that included animals. Michael and I will always cherish memories when we all laughed and enjoyed lovely moments with him and with all of you! We will never forget the twinkle in his eyes as he would say something witty and enjoy the response. His Spirit lives on in all of you and for all of us fortunate to know him. We hope that all of your cherished memories of when he was well will comfort you and know that he will always be alive in the stories that you will share with each other, and with the young members of your family. He was a very special man who will never be forgotten. Until we meet again, dear Alec…
