It is with great sadness that the family of Alexander (Al, Alex) Ozog announce his peaceful passing on February 11, 2026, at the age of 83.
Alex was the beloved husband and best friend of Kathy Ozog (nee: Swider) for over 58 wonderful years. He was a loving and devoted father to Jennifer (Chris) Stiefeling, Mark Ozog, and Julie (Peter) Vandervoort.
He was the second youngest brother to Ted, Jean, Tony, Mike, Walter, Frank, and Stanley (all predeceased except Walter), and a cherished brother-in-law to Angela, Julie, Cameron, Valerie, Celeste, and Malcolm (predeceased).
Alex was a proud and devoted grandfather to Alexander, Adam, Ariel, Erik, and Julia. He treasured his time with them, spending many happy days teaching them how to fish and garden lessons they will carry with them always.
He will remain forever in the hearts of his family, friends, and all who were fortunate enough to know him.
The family will receive friends at Rod Abrams Funeral Home, 1666 Tottenham Rd., Tottenham (905-936-3477), on Tuesday, February 17, with visitation from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service in the chapel at 1:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations in Alex’s memory to Stevenson Memorial Hospital. Online condolences and memories may be shared with the family at www.RodAbramsFuneralHome.com.

I’ve spent many special memorable days, hours and moments with Mr. Ozog and family at dinners, weddings, birthdays and many other special occasions, but perhaps it’s the simple ordinary ones like hanging out in the garage, playing euchre and having a couple of beers along with many laughs, that I will cherish most. I never spent time in the garden with him (now I wish I did) but benefitted from many delicious vegetables over the years. Mr. Ozog always kept a meticulous lawn, a beautiful flourishing garden and though not mighty in height he was mighty in all he did including building and maintaining his own home, installing a pool (from what I heard pretty well by himself) and enduring his health issues for the past few years. He loved his dogs, his cigar and visiting friends. A true farmer at heart, hard working and determined. I will always admire his spirit and appreciation for nature and welcoming me to his home – my second family. You can rest well Mr. Ozog, you deserve it. My sincerest sympathies to all of you for your loss, our loss. Love Jodie, Tom and family
