It has been said when a grandchild dies, grandparents grieve twice. They mourn the loss of the child and they feel the pain of their own child’s suffering. Young people aren’t supposed to die, it isn’t the natural order of life…but Avery there is a reason you were taken from us, you accomplished what you were put on this earth for and you are on to bigger and better things. Fly high my beautiful angel till we meet again, we love you to the moon and back.

    John, Kim and family,
Meeting Avery in Beeton tyke hockey allowed us to get to know her and on occasion gave us the opportunity to catch up with her when we crossed paths as she got older. Avery was always smiling and willing to talk. A beautiful young lady taken way too soon leaves a hole in this community. Our most heart felt condolences to all of Avery’s family and friends.

Our daughter, Brenleigh, treasured her friendship with Avery. Through their “group chats”, cottage getaways and high school classes the girls made wonderful memories and shared amazing times. I know Avery brightened Brenleigh’s days and found the positive in all situations. The impact Avery had on those around her was profound. Thank you for raising such a beautiful young woman that allowed Brenleigh to find true friendship. May you be able to draw strength from the knowledge of the positive energy and attitude Avery demonstrated each and every day. Thinking of you as you journey through this unfathomable heartbreak. We know you are just going through the motions right now, in a fog, one foot in front of the other. Our nephews were 18 and 20 when they died tragically in 2011. No one is more empathetic, caring, understanding and willing to listen, than their mother, Cathy, who now works at Matthew’s House in Alliston, as a grievance assistant. When you are ready, she is a great contact to make. The twins can also always reach out to Tessa, if they feel like no one understands what they are going through. May the stories you hear about Avery from friends and family comfort you during this time that no family should ever have to go through.
