Suddenly at Southlake Regional Health Centre, Newmarket, on Wednesday July 29th, 2015. Bernie Lynch, at the age of 56 years, beloved husband of Kelly (Coleman). Loving father of Melanie (Brendan), Brandon, and Adam (Jade). Remembered with love by his precious grandchildren Marley, Harper, and Lincoln. Dear brother of Gerard (Carol Ann), Mary (late Terry) Sheridan, John (Michelle), Joan, Sharon (Steve) Cole, and Rosanne. Beloved son of the late Al and Monica Lynch. Sadly missed by his brothers and sisters-in-law Gary (Susan) Coleman, Rick (Penny) Coleman, Darlene (Ross) Rutledge, Rose (Don) Findlay, and Shane (Carla) Coleman.
Resting at Rod Abrams Funeral Home, 1666 Tottenham Road, Tottenham, 905-936-3477 on Sunday August 2nd, 2015 from 1-5 and 7-9 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be held, 11:00 am Monday August 3rd, 2015 in St. James Church, Colgan, followed by interment in St. James Cemetery, Colgan. Donations in Bernie’s memory to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario, 112 Commerce Park Drive, Unit 1, Barrie, Ontario, L4N 8W8 would be appreciated by the family. www.RodAbramsFuneralHome.com

    I do not have access to the internet and after my wife’s Mary’s passing I deeply regret not keeping in touch with the many people that made such an impact on our lives in the Colgan area.

    I deeply saddened to hear of his passing this past summer, accept my condolences to the entire family.

    It’s hard to put into words what best describes Bernie but to say he was the salt of the earth would fit well . He was a quiet , unassuming man who would never want to be in the limelight . He always had a warm hello and a ready smile with a bit of a twinkle in his eyes . I feel blest to have known this lovely man . May he rest in peace . My deepest sympathies to all . How you will miss him !

    Bernie was a very kind man. He treated my brother (Brendan) like one of his own children. For that I have great admiration for him. He was an outstanding man as well as husband and father. Through my treasured memories with Bernie I have seen how much he loved been a Grampy to Marley Harper and Lincoln. He will be greatly missed.

    There’s very few people in the word that could do what Bernie could do. He could always put a smile on your face, he was always happy , positive, enjoyed life and people. He was refreshing to talk to because of his great personality. Remembering many of the old days and how everyone always like Bernie. Class act through and through.
