Peacefully at Southlake Regional Health Centre, Newmarket, after a brief courageous battle with cancer on Sunday, May 6th, 2007. Beth Shannon, in her 68th year, beloved wife of Bob Murray. Loving mother of Tim Luke (Andrea), Tom and Paul Luke and lovingly remembered by Bob’s family, David (Katherine), and Melissa. Loved by her 5 grandchildren Ryan, Shannon, Kelvin, Charlotte, and Madeline. Beloved daughter of Edna and the late John Shannon. Beth was loved by all who knew her; Family and friends will miss her sense of fun, love of travel and adventure, and her forthright manner. Gardening, golf, tennis, homes in Beeton, and Atlantis, Florida were her passion. Beth was past president of the Beeton Horticultural Society and an active member of Atlantis Country Club. Heartfelt thanks to the Nursing Staff at Southlake Cancer Care Centre. Following a private interment service at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Toronto, the family will receive friends at St. Andrews Presbyterian Church, Beeton on Thursday, May 10th, 2007, from 3:00 pm until time of Memorial Service at 4:00 pm. A luncheon and time of fellowship will follow. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Southlake Regional Health Centre, Cancer Care, would be appreciated by the family.

Beth has been so important in ours lives for the past few years. What a ray of sunshine she was. She will be missed by everyone that knew her in Atlantis, Fl. To Tim, Tom and Paul you were lucky to have had such a wonderful mother. And we know what a wonderful grandmother she was to Ryan, Shannon and Calvin. Bob you are so blessed to have such a wonderful wife. A part of Beth will aways live in our hearts.
