Jones: Beverley ‘Bev’ Joyce
It is with profound sadness we announce the passing of Beverley Joyce Jones (Payn) on Sunday August 9, 2026. Loving wife to the late Frederick (Bill) Jones (2023). Bev was born December 21, 1933 in Lachine, Quebec. The family moved to the east coast and she was raised in Annapolis Royal, Nova Scotia. Bev attended teachers college in London, Ontario and had a fulfilling career with the TDSB teaching special needs children for 30 years. Bev is survived by 3 step sons Chris (Shelly 2021), Greg (Anne) and Steve (Marilyn). Grandy to Emily, Hannah, Katelyn, Alec and Jessica. GG to George, Henry, Mabel, Isadore and Ramona. Sister Elly (Don) and brothers David (Lesley) and Bob (Val). Bev will also be missed by many nieces and nephews. Bev would like to thank all her neighbours in Brampton and Alliston. Particularly Rev. Canon Darrell Wright for all his kindness to both Bill and Bev.
For those who wish, donations in Bev’s honour may be made to Matthews House Hospice or the charity of your choice. A Memorial Service will be held at St. Luke’s Anglican Church, 508551 Hwy. #89, Rosemont, on Thursday September 10, 2026 at 11am. Private family interment will be held at a later date. Dear Bev, You will be missed greatly.
You were my friend rather than a client. You needed home refresh which was an home I looked forward to coming too. Always a smile and welcoming atmosphere from both Bev and Bill.

Bev was a friend for eighty years.. first meeting in grade 9 at Annapolis Royal Academy. We spent many hours talking on the phone,, visiting for many meals, baking together her wedding and groom’s cakes, driving together to Nova Scotia, and on and on.. Bev was a teacher for 2 of my younger special needs sisters and she became a like-long family friend. The kindest heart you could imagine. She will be missed.

Bev was a very good friend, she named me the “vessel” that how she greeted me. She was so funny, I always had a belly full of laughs whenever we got chatting on the phone. She was a very encouraging soul, she cared deeply and I loved that about her.
I will miss you dearly Bev, I won’t cry for you because I know that you are happy now, seeing all your loved ones that missed you.
