Brett Brian Campbell

In Memorial

Campbell, Brett front photo of mem cardWith profound sorrow, we announce the passing of Brett Campbell on September 14, 2024. Brett was a beloved son, brother, uncle, and friend whose presence illuminated the lives of everyone around him.

Brett was a man whose heart overflowed with love—he deeply cared for the people and things that meant the most to him. His mother, Rhonda Dempsey, was his unwavering rock and anchor, and their bond was truly unbreakable. He loved her with all his heart. Brett idolized his father, Ronald Campbell, always seeking his wisdom and approval.

Brett was immensely proud of his sister, Kasondra Macchioni, often telling her how beautiful she was and how much she meant to him. His nephew, Kohen Macchioni, and nieces, Kyilah and Audrina Macchioni, were his greatest joy, the very purpose of his life. He adored them with all his heart, and they were the light of his world. Brett’s love extended to his cherished pets as well.

He will now rest peacefully alongside Tyson and Rocky, who passed before him, while his loyal companion, his best friend Remi, will forever miss him. As a dedicated roofer, Brett took immense pride in his craft, leaving a lasting impression through his hard work and commitment. Music was another passion that brought him great joy, especially when he played the guitar.

He also found peace in nature, particularly by the lake, where he could escape and find serenity. Brett was known for his respectful and well-mannered nature—a kind-hearted soul with a heart too big for this world. His vibrant spirit and warmth touched everyone who had the privilege of knowing him. He is also lovingly remembered by his grandparents, Florence Dempsey and Helen MacKay, and was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Ronald Dempsey, and Donald MacKay.

Forever in the hearts of his aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family, and friends, Brett’s legacy of love and laughter will live on through the cherished memories he created with his family and friends. Taken from us far too soon, he leaves behind a legacy of kindness, warmth, and love that will never be forgotten.

The family will receive friends at Rod Abrams Funeral Home, 1666 Tottenham Rd., Tottenham 905-936-3477 on Sunday September 22, 2024 from 2:00pm-4:00pm & 6:00 pm- 8:00 pm. A Mass of Catholic Faith will be held at St. James Church Colgan, 2118 Adjala Tecumseth Townline, Colgan on Monday September 23, 2024 at 12:30pm, with interment in St. James Cemetery, Colgan. Reception to follow at the St. James Colgan Parish Hall. In lieu of flowers, donations to the charity of your choice would be appreciated. Sorry to hear this news. Brett was a great friend of my brother Lennon in our elementary school days. He was often at our house or Lennon at his. They sure did love video games! I remember them playing the EyeToy on the Playstation 2 for hours and hours.

So sorry to hear this horrible news. Brett was always the first one to come and greet us with a hug and a handshake when Kasondra and the kids were our neighbors. He was robbed of a beautiful future with his nieces and nephew who always adored and loved their uncle Brett. Kasondra I can’t imagine what you’re going through but it was no secret that he loved you very much. Rhonda, I can’t even begin to understand the heartache you are going through my friend…but you raised a very sweet and loving young man who will be missed by all who knew him. Nancy and I send our love and condolences to you all ❤️
