The Hodgson family has sadly learned of the passing of a family friend Bruce and the Bishop family (Len & Nora) carry many fond memories over the years;from lunches with them and Bruce at the Mill while my grain was being ground. It was always a time I enjoyed both at the mill and with Bruce grinding grain in earlier years for my father at his farm. I Will always remember Bruce’s smiling face and our great conversations. My sympathies go out to the Family. The Bishops were our first connection with living in the Nobleton community. 1957. His dad helped my family on the purchase of the property on the 8th Conc which bordered their property on King Rd. His dad and mine witched for water As kids Wendy-Sue and Bruce, my brother Bill and I would go through the fields to play together. Lost touch with Bruce over the years but stayed in touch with WS. He always had a great laugh and always loved to tease. I’m sure he will be missed greatly in the community

My condolences to the Bishop family.

It’s always very sad when such a ‘vivacious‘ and long time pillar of the Schomberg community passes away, because they take much of their ‘history’ with them.

So keep remembering…‘Memories’ have a unique and powerful way of keeping you connected, and at peace…And at the same time, commemorate and preserve the memory of a loved one.

    Many Blessings to all.

Throughout his life, Bruce had a foot in both the Nobleton and Schomberg communities. For we Nobletonites, Bruce was a key member of a group of guys who grew up and hung around together. Such was that connectivity that it became an annual habit for me to drive by Bruce and Penny’s home on warm summer days and when Bruce was sitting outside I would drop in for a visit to catch up on life. I extend my sympathy to Bruce’s family. He will be missed as will those annual visits.
