Suddenly at his home in Beeton, on Sunday July 31st, 2016. Bruce Dorsey, in his 68th year, beloved son of the late Bill and Frances Dorsey and Jack Piercey. Dear brother of Brenda (Michael) Urbanski, Brian (Jenny), Barry (Dee), Bonnie Heydon, Bradley (Patty), Barb (Rob) Kowalski. Sadly missed by his many nieces and nephews. Fondly remembered by his close friend Milanka.

Respecting Bruce’s wishes, cremation has taken place and a celebration of his life will be held at a later date. Arrangements entrusted to Rod Abrams Funeral Home, Tottenham, 905-936-3477. www.RodAbramsFuneralHome.com

    My condolences to the Dorsey family. Bruce was the first person to welcome me back home many years ago. He was a kind and truly good person. I don’t believe I had ever heard him speak ill of anybody. Life wasn’t easy for Bruce but that never tarnished his view on life. Bruce was one of a kind and will be missed. Rest in peace

    I tracked Bruce down last summer not having seen Bruce for many, many years. He recognised me instantly and we shared many memories from our high school days. A great friend to have.

    We felt it deeply when hearing of Bruce’s passing. He always had a smile for everyone and a loud hello. Still remember how great he looked when he came to our wedding. We will always miss you Spud.

His laugh was infectious and his Warm greetings and little chats made me feel very valued as a friend. You will be sadly missed by me and everyone your life touched.     Bruce was our friend
    We enjoyed our chats on the Main Street of Beeton, at events around town and the many back yard BBQs
    He had a enormous laugh and shared our concerns about the Toronto maple leafs
    He cared about us too, always asking how’s business and sharing his farm activities and knowledge with us

    We will really miss you Bruce and thank you for all the great laughs

    Brenda and Mike, some of my fondest memories of Bruce go back to our teen age parties, we had so much fun. Bruce was a really sweet guy with a heart as big as all out doors.

    My deepest condolences to all Bruce’s family and friends, he was a good guy. He always came into the post office and greeted whoever would be at the counter and always took the time to chat with whoever happened to be in the lobby that day. He’s certainly going to be missed in the community.
