Dear Mr. Scott and Nadia, it was a great shock to learn of Carol’s passing. A message is just circulating now amongst Carol’s former federal colleagues and we are all shocked and saddened. Carol was a wonderful, compassionate, funny and wise woman and it was a real pleasure to have worked with her. I am very shocked and deeply saddened to only hear of this this morning. When I started with HRDC back in 2000, Carol was one of my mentors and continued to be valued colleague and sounding board even after our transfer from the federal government. Carol once travelled with me on my first business trip to Ottawa and the words of wisdom she imparted on me and the sense of calm she seemed almost always display, were excellent exaples of professionalism. She is sorely missed.

Marilyn and I have only now heard of Carol’s passing. Please accept our deepest condolences.
