    My deepest sympathies. I hope time has healed your family’s loss. Know that you had a one of a kind person. Truely jovial, kind, fun and full of wit. Chris was always a delight in school from kindergarten all the way to grade 13. He’s just appeared in my dream after all this time, possibly to remind me to be happy and joyful and to have a light heart. Thanks Chris.

    The smile, the smirk, the charm..It is going to missed by us all. My deepest sympathies to the whole extended family. Chris was one of a kind, he took us along his ride, showed us how to have fun..Love life and care for one another. He introduced me to a whole new group of friends, that I will never ever forget.. And we all stand together in arms, shedding a tear… but knowing our friend is finally at peace.

    There was never a time when Chris Maher’s name passed my lips that there wasn’t a smile or laugh to follow. He truly had an infectious sense of humour! He certainly never lacked the ability to please the crowds with his large personality. What a gift we were all given to share the stage of life, however too short, with such a great guy!

    My very deepest condolences to ALL that mourn this loss xo

    I’ve lost a real friend and still can’t believe it. Chris lit up the room and we had so many good times over the years. I have often found myself laughing about his witty sayings, antics on the ball field and memories like our trip to Pittsburgh. I remember that in my tough time s in recent years, Chris came to our house where he was able to make me smile. He had the biggest heart and I could write a book on all of the good times we spent together. He will truly missed but never, ever forgotten. Love ya Rocket.

    Chris – your time on earth was way too short. You brought joy to everyone who knew you. Thank-you for making my life richer with your friendship.

    I’M FREE
    Don’t grieve for me, for now I’m free
    I’m following the path God laid for me.
    I took His hand when I heard him call;
    I turned my back and left it all.
    I could not stay another day,
    To laugh, to love, to work or play.
    Tasks left undone must stay that way;
    I found that place at the close of the day.
    If my parting has left a void,
    Then fill it with remembered joy.
    A friendship shared, a laugh, a kiss;
    Ah yes, these things, I too will miss.
    Be not burdened with times of sorrow
    I wish you the sunshine of tomorrow.
    My life’s been full, I savored much;
    Good friends, good times, a loved ones touch.
    Perhaps my time seems all too brief;
    Don’t lengthen it now with undue grief.
    Lift up your heart and share with me,
    God wanted me now, He set me free.

    I will miss you my friend! Until we meet again.

    I read of a woman who stood to speak at the funeral of a friend. She referred to the dates on the tombstone
    from the beginning to the end.

    She noted that first came the date of birth and spoke the following date with tears, but she said what mattered most of all was the dash between those years.

    For that dash represents all the time
    that they spent alive on earth. And now only those who loved them know what that little line is worth.

    For it matters not, how much we own,
    the cars, the house, the cash. What matters is how we live and love
    and how we spend our dash.

    So, think about this long and hard.
    Are there things you’d like to change?
    For you never know how much time is left that can still be rearranged.

    If we could just slow down enough to consider what’s true and real and always try to understand the way other people feel.

    And be less quick to anger and show appreciation more and love the people in our lives like we’ve never loved before.

    If we treat each other with respect and more often wear a smile, remembering that this special dash might only last a little while.

    So, when your eulogy is being read, with your life’s actions to rehash would you be proud of the things they say about how you spent your dash?

    Rest in peace my friend.

    Our sincere condolences go out to all the family. We have fond memories of Chris while he was growing up and was often at our house with Kevin and his buddies. His sense of humour was keen. He will be missed by so many people. May he rest is peace.

    We can^the be with you at this time please know our hearts are.To all the family

    God looked around His garden and found an empty place
    He then looked down upon earth
    And saw your tired face
    He put his arms around you
    And lifted you to rest
    God^s garden must be beautiful
    He always takes the best
    He saw the road was getting rough
    And the hill’s were hard to climb
    So he closed your weary eyelids
    And wished PEACE BE THINE
    It broke our hearts to lose you
    But you didn^t go alone
    For part of us went with you
    The day God called you home
