Peacefully with his loving family by his side at Matthews House Hospice Alliston, on June 3, 2025. Chris Glover at the age of 50 years, beloved son of Cindy Brent (Michael Kollhosser) and Dave Glover (Young Glover). Loving brother of Brett Glover (Cory Aston and Ethan Danby) and step-brother of Christopher Kargel (Tina). Sadly missed by his nieces Abigail and Kalise, and nephew Kaius. Dear nephew of Jim Brent (Agnes), the late Ron, the late Mance, and the late Gary. Loving nephew of Janet Glover (Sheldon Button). Forever in the hearts of his friend and guardian Dawn West, his cousins, extended family, and many, many friends.
The family wish to send a special Thank you to the Community of Tottenham for all their love, friendship, and support shown to Chris over the years.
The family will receive friends at Rod Abrams Funeral Home 1666 Tottenham Rd., Tottenham 905-936-3477 on Friday June 6, 2025 with Visitation from 4-7pm. Funeral service will be held in the chapel at 1pm on Sunday June 8, 2025. Followed by cremation. Reception celebrating Chris’ life will be held in the Funeral Home’s Cliffside Hall immediately following the service. The family encourages guests to wear comfortable, casual attire, as that was what Chris was most comfortable in.

What more can I say that hasn’t already been said? I used to live on William Smart Rd and saw and spoke to Christian many, MANY times.
It is with profound sadness I learn of Christian’s passing yet I can’t help but feel Christian led such an enriched life. Such loving memories of Christian fills my heart with happiness.
My career forced me to leave Tottenham in 1988 but I always found my way back home for visits. Only a few short years ago, while visiting, I happened to be in Foodland and ran in to Christian – as I sit here writing this, it brings both happiness and sadness into my heart, the way Christian began talking to me, he recognized and remembered who I was (even though I had been away for years) – I was able to introduce my children to him as he asked me who they were. 🙂
Christian – you were loved by your community and you will be missed!

I worked with Chris at Tottenham foodland in between the years of 2022 and march 2024. He would always busted me for my name tag until one day I told him it ran away and it never came back. So we made it a joke when he would bust other people they would ask him “what about Ryan”. We would reply with “ it ran away”.

We were heartbroken to hear about Christian’s passing. Losing him at just 50 years old is incredibly difficult, and our deepest sympathies go out to you, especially his mother and father, who now have the unimaginable pain of outliving their son.
We’ll always remember Christian’s incredibly happy disposition and that wonderful, constant smile. His joy was infectious and always shone through. Chris touched the lives of many Tottenham residents with his kindheartedness and sincerity and his ability to face any obstacle with determination, strength and positivity. But most of all, he taught us how to be a faithful citizen and friend to everyone that crossed our path.
I remember Chris was the very first person to welcome me to the village of Tottenham when I purchased my first home. He was cruising by on his bicycle, when he stopped in front of my house and said, “Hi! You are new here. Welcome to Tottenham, you’re going to love this town!”
Over the years, Chris became known as a gentle, kind and thoughtful soul to all those fortunate to know him. May the hearts of Chris’s many friends and family be filled with joyful memories of his his smiling, grinning, beaming self, and of the times you shared together with Chris, as you celebrate and remember with endearment a life well lived and with love.

Very saddened to hear of Christian’s passing so suddenly. Having read so many Condolences on Christian’s very special effect on all who knew him brought back a memory of Christian as a young fella. My sister Laurene and husband Clare had brought a new car at the dealership. As they offered little compensation on a trade-in their vehicle was offered to Tom and I. When we saw Christian later at his Grandparents he wanted to know why we were driving his Grandpas car. He was very clever at distinguishing different vehicles and wanted an explanation. This has always been a cherished memory of Christian.

I’m so sorry for your loss of Chris. My first memory of him was when I was walking with my young son (now 42) up the main street as Chris came towards us riding his bike behind someone with young children. I was amazed that he could ride that slow and not fall off. Seeing Chris riding his bike through the years always put a smile on my face because he was free to enjoy an activity that I wished I’d had more time for. When I started working at Tim Hortons he would greet me whenever he would see me to check if I was, “working today?” If I said no, he would look so disappointed like he felt sorry for me. I’ve been retired a few years now so didn’t get the news that Chris was even sick till today. It was a shock. He was so young. He really was a big part of our community and will be remembered fondly.

The large amount of sadness this has brought to me is not surprising as Chris is a family name. He used to visit “Big Al” at the pharmacy and would stand beside me while stocking shelves or tagging items. He was never mean, and when he got bored he’d just move on. He will always be a sunny memory for me, as he was a common thread of my youth biking around town, showing up at the grocery store and other places around town. When I moved back and saw him at Foodland, I thought how lucky it was for the high schoolers to have his company as I did. I will miss him.

Chris was a special man! He did not have one bad bone in his body and we can all atest to that!!!
We all need to emulate Chris’ character; always smiling, never spoke a negative word about anyone or anything, loved the simple things in life and loved his family
Chris always added that extra spark to our family functions and we will miss him terribly
