Dear Gould Family,
I am so very sorry for the loss of your beloved Chris and am sending my heartfelt sympathy to you all. It’s been more than 30 years now since I last saw Chris, but we would text and talk on the phone every so often and she just reached out on January 26 this year with concern for me, never leading on to her own health. I am truly at a loss to believe that she is gone. Like so many others, I will echo what a great loss she is to us all. She will never be forgotten.
Leo & Pat Zalewski says
Our condolences to all her family.
Will miss our friend, her smiles and willingness to help out when needed.
The other side will love your laugh and dry humour! Keep smiling.

I had a nice chat with Chris last fall at Foodland and I’m so glad for that, but my memory of her will be an eight year old wisp of a girl, in perpetual motion, long brown hair flying behind her. My condolences to all those who will be missing her.

My sincere condolences to the entire Gould family. Chris remains one of my favourites from The Westin. A solid citizen, a wonderfully, funny and supportive colleague. A very well thought of boss. A daughter, who spoke of her mum so fondly. Everyone at work knew her mum’s name, Sharon. Her wide smile, her backbone, her gentle nature, her raucous laugh, she was one of the good ones. She will be missed. She is already missed. Rest in Peace.
Barb, Doug, Eric and Michael says
Sending our sincere condolences to the entire Gould family….we have so many fond memories of Chris, always in great humor with a joke or smile when we would see her and always with a smile or a big wave on the porch or driving in the Escape. Beeton is truly not going to be the same without her. She had an incredible impact on so many and she will be missed by us all! We join you all in your profound grief of losing such an incredible daughter, sister, auntie, great auntie, cousin, teammate, boss, colleague and amazing friend! We hope you are cracking a cold one with Jerry and resting easy up there dear Chris.

Chris was not only a great boss but a great friend, endlessly supportive, hysterically funny and had a heart as big as a house. She blazed a trail in a male dominated industry and won the respect and loyalty of all those who worked with her and for her. She will be in thoughts of many and missed.

Chris – I have only great memories of you. You were always, and I mean, always, professional with me and our colleagues. Whether it was the big live broadcasts from the lobby, or security incidents that garnered media attention, you were there to support and provide guidance, and you did it all in a very calm and unflappable manner. We last texted back and forth in November 2023. I’m sorry we didn’t connect face to face like we hoped to in the new year. My deepest sympathies to the family and dear friends.
Rest in Peace, Chris. Soar in Heaven’s Hotel.

Lynne Aiken says
My friendship with Chris started as we were flipping hockey cards against the end wall of the Beeton Arena. Growing up in a small town, there wasn’t a sport she didn’t excel at or a person she didn’t know. Whether it was practising slapshots on the pond, listening to country music driving in Jerry’s car or picking asparagus as the sun came up, times with Chris were always fun. She will forever be my Centreman.
‘Till we meet again #7!
Lynney, #9.
