Clara Adams

Clara Elizabeth Adams

Clara died peacefully at the Timmins and District Hospital on January 17, 2009 with her son Stephen and his wife Wendy at her side. She was born in Toronto, Ontario in 1919, but lived most of her life with her husband Fred, who predeceased her, in Beeton, Ontario where they operated the Beeton $.05 to $1.00 Store. She is also predeceased by her brother Bert Smits (Anne). She had recently moved to Spruce Hill Lodge in South Porcupine to be closer to her family. Clara is survived by her son Stephen Adams (Wendy) of Timmins, grandchildren John (Angela Jones) of Ottawa, Ontario and Sara (Ron Lewis) of St. John’s, Newfoundland and Labrador and 3 great grandchildren, Matthew, Samantha and Christina. Clara will be buried in the Beeton Cemetery next to her husband. The family will receive friends at the Rod Abrams Funeral Home, 1666 Tottenham Road, 905-936-3477 on Wednesday, January 21, 2009 from 11:00am with the service to follow at 1:00pm. The family wishes to express deep appreciation to the staff of both the Timmins and District Hospital and Spruce Hill Lodge for the wonderful care that she received while living in Timmins. Donations to Timmins and District Hospital Foundation, 700 Ross Street, East, Timmins, Ontario, P4N 8P2 or Spruce Hill Lodge, 200 Bruce Ave., West, South Porcupine, Ontario, P0N 1H0 on Clara’s behalf would be appreciated.
