Funeral service will be held in the chapel, 11:00 am Thursday, January 31st, 2013 followed by interment in St. James Cemetery, Colgan. It doesn’t take much for a smile, a giggle or a ‘oh my god, I can’t believe you just said that’ to come flooding through my memory. There was no ambiguity or blending in with the woodwork, was there, buddy. We wouldn’t have wanted you any other way.
So many tears of laughter in my kitchen with Lorrie and the gang playing euchre and you would get frustrated at a wrong play and tell us ‘if my Granny was here right now…., ’ Dan, just to let you in on a little secret; sometimes we purposefully threw bad cards to get a reaction from you.
And when we went to Toronto with Brett and it was too late to order dinner and we were starving so you had this brilliant idea and ordered martinis for the three of us so we could eat the olives. After drinking our dinner, we couldn’t remember where our hotel was so we jumped in a cab and told the driver to take us to The King Eddy, so he did a u-turn, stopped and said ‘ok, you’re here.’
Thank-you for the countless memories. You’re a good man and an even better friend.
You always reminded me of what your father told you; ”You will have many friends through the course of your life, however, on one hand you count those who are true and life-long.” Well Dan, you needed many more hands.

Dan’O was always working on the latest and greatest of technology – he could out configure most engineers and his customers absolutely loved him. One of the high points of my work life was being able to actually in a minor role work with Dan. He taught me so much.
