We were so sorry to here of the passing of Dave who was our neighbour for ten years at the trailer park. Dave was there to organize and run all the fishing derby’s over the years, with prizes, trophies and taking the time to teach all the kids how to fish. Dave was also a lot of fun around the camp fire, I am sure he will sadly be missed by his family. Love Bill, Diane, Nicholas, Jamie and Michael XOXO

We have only known Dave for a few years but it did not require a long time friendship to know what a wonderful man Dave was, from his kind generous heart for humans and animals alike to his love of botany he was truly a special person. Dave will be missed!

“A life is measured by the joy it brings to others”. There are people who smile with each passage, each season. That was Dave, spreading a ray of Sunshine wherever he went. He was everyone’s father. Dave gave his family the precious gift of life and a wonderful place to call home, but most of all, he had freely given his family and friends, the greatest unconditional love, anyone could have ever known. The gates of memory shall never close, we miss you Dave more than anyone knows. With tender love and deep regret, we who love you will never forget. Those we love don’t go away, they walk beside us everyday. Thinking of you all and loving you, Love Dave and Nanc xoxo

So saddened to hear of David’s passing. We had many good conversations about the weather conditions that we both would travel to and from Metro. He always seemed to have the time for a quick chat no matter how hectic things were at the store. I will miss him. xo

How sad we are to learn of Dave’s passing. We are so grateful to him for his dedication and wonderful nature. To generate such fondness in a working relationship is quite a testament to his lovely character. We were in good hands and will miss him very much. Our deepest sympathy to Heather and to the entire family.

Dear Heather (BT) Our deepest condolences for the lost of your love, Dave. Though never having met him I/we felt we knew him well through you. Since his name would come up in many conversations on our girl’s weekends. Again, both of our thoughts are with you at this time of loss. I know you have many wonderful memories to cherish of your time together. Hugs

Daddy…..my heart breaks knowing that you won’t be dropping in for tea anymore, or that I won’t get to go fishing with you again. The only thing that eases the heartache is knowing you are in a better place and no longer in pain. Every time I take the boys fishing we will be thinking of you, and will always be grateful for the wonderful memories you gave us. God Bless, love Daddy’s little girl.

Dad, Although we may have had some moments during our time together where seeing eye to eye came with a challenge, there were many times that being together we’re an absolute joy. From camping to driving trips to day trips at Rockwood. These are the memories that will last forever. You were taken from us to early but seeing you no longer suffering helps get through the pain of losing you. You will live forever in my heart. Rest in peace dad. I love you. Tracey

    Heather,
I never had a chance to meet Dave but feel like I have just from the way you spoke of him, always with warmth, respect and a smile on your face. I loved your stories of how he fixed up the garage for the stray cat to live in. He was a caring person.

I can honestly say that I’ve never seen a couple so devoted to each other. Dave loved Heather from the first day he saw her and Heather soon felt the very same. They would both do anything for each other. Heather was by his side day and night and took such good care of him to make sure he was comfortable and knew how much she loved him. He has been taken much sooner then any of us would have thought. He and Heather still had many things they wanted to do together. Those will have to wait till they’re together again. I’m proud that I got to know Dave and his family. He will never be forgotten, he lives within your hearts. Love Heather (Red)

This great man will be sadly missed by all who knew him.Dave was a person who lived his whole life with one thing in mind and that was to take care of his family who he loved dearly. Always willing to give a hand to a friend and always full of good advise to whoever needed it. He touched many people’s lives along the way and even now that he is gone he will continue to do so. Gone but will never be forgotten. Rest in peace my friend.
