THE ROSE STILL GROWS BEYOND THE WALL

Near a shady wall a rose once grew,
Budded and blossomed in God’s free light,
Watered and fed by morning dew,
Shedding it’s sweetness day and night.

As it grew and blossomed fair and tall,
    slowly rising to loftier height,
It came to a crevice in the wall,
Through which there shone a beam of light.

Onward it crept with added strength,
With never a thought of fear or pride.
It followed the light through the crevice’s length
And unfolded itself on the other side.

The light, the dew, the broadening view
    Were found the same as they were before;
And it lost itself in beauties new,
Breathing its fragrance more and more.

Shall claim of death cause us to grieve,
And make our courage faint or fail?
Nay! Let us faith and hope receive:
The rose still grows beyond the wall.

    Scattering fragrance far and wide,
Just as it did in days of yore,
Just as it did on the other side,
Just as it will for evermore.

    A. L. Frink

Remembering with fond memories Tottenham’s favourite crossing guard. Her legacy is thoughtfulness, kindness and being one of the Toronto Blue Jays most devoted
    cheerleaders!

We all came of age together over those 20 some years. I have many fun memories of the time we had together. Donna was never a pretentious person, you knew what you were getting, what she was and who she was. She never was ever too high or too low in temperment. She was confident in her own skin and knew that we all shared a special family love of looking out for each other. I am glad i got to kid with her a bit at her birthday party and that now shows as prophetic that you held that day for her 75th as she was able to see everyone on great terms. Pepsi Co. has lost a great fan. Our thoughts and prayers are with Blake and the family. Blessings, Bonnie and Ken

    Blake, & All the Family,
I’ll miss Donna’s laughter and humour. I’m remembering times from long ago, when we played with the Tottenham Bowling League in Alliston. Always enjoyed her company … And then our Children married and we became Family!
    Hugs ❤️
