It is with profound sadness that the family of Ed Massey announces his passing on Tuesday December 12 2023 at his home in North York, Ed passed at the age of 77 years. Predeceased by his beloved son Steven Massey. He will be forever missed by his loving family, wife Wendy, son Jim (Tracy), daughter Christina (Tom) and his four Grandchildren, Hunter Massey, Jessica Massey, Lucas Watkins and Ronin Watkins. Ed retired in 2001 from a distinguished career as a Toronto fire fighter, retiring as an acting Platoon Chief, a job in which he cherished for 33 years.

I have fond memories of Ed from NYFD 10 hall group 1, having started one year after him on the shift that relieved his very memorable and fun loving group. It was no surprise that a man of his calibre would rise through the ranks into a leadership position.
