McCague: Eleanor Louise, B.A. M. Ed.
(Retired Principal of the Etobicoke Board of Education)
Passed away peacefully and with dignity on Thursday June 22, 2006 after a brief struggle with Ovarian Cancer. Eleanor McCague (Piper) of Beeton in her 78th year, beloved wife of the late Angus McCague for 47 years. Loving mother of Karen McCague of Perth and Nancy and her husband John Mallard of Beeton. Loved grandmother of Shawna and Corina Carlton. Dear sister of Marguerite and her husband Hugh Richmond, Fred Piper, and the late Kathleen (Pete Fachnie). Loved and respected by her many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Mom was a role model we all admired. Living her life to the fullest was a mission she successfully accomplished. She had an unquenchable desire for knowledge and shared that knowledge, not only with her students but with everyone with whom she interacted. Mom loved her home, the farm, as well as travelling the world, playing bridge, had a very successful career, a terrific marriage and at the same time was a remarkable and thoughtful mother and grandmother.
Mom, we will really miss you. Thank-you so much for everything.
Visitors will be received at Rod Abrams Funeral Home #1666 Tottenham Rd., Tottenham (905) 936-3477 on Friday evening June 23, 2006 from 7-9. All are welcome to the service to be held in the Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday June 24, 2006 at 2pm.
A luncheon and time of fellowship will be held in Trinity United Church Hall in Beeton immediately following the service.

Many cottage memories include Eleanor.
She had time for us kids nextdoor, with puzzels and games. We could always go over for help, advice, or a cup of something forgotten. Even loaning out the sailboat, so I could gain some experience.
The image of her wading into the lake for a swim, will be my lasting memory.
Thank you cottage friend.
