Mozes Garry

Mozes, Garry
Suddenly at his home in Beeton on July 25, 2022. Garry Mozes at the age of 76 years, beloved husband of Edna Mozes (nee: Riddell).  Loving father of Joyce (Jody Carleton), June (Terry), and George (Joanne). Dearly loved grandfather of Krystal, Andrew, Steven, Riley, Emma, and James, and Paka of Kash, Kaiden, and Kamryn. Fondly remembered, sadly missed by his sisters Marguerite Boonstra (the late Henry), Marie Miedema (the late Ken), Ann Bowdery (the late Eric), and predeceased by his brother Jim Mozes (the late Terri). Forever in the hearts of the many children he helped to foster over 30 years. And to all those who met him, he was a friend. Family was everything to Dad and he always looked forward to get togethers. He loved playing his guitars and was often the center of the crowd with his charisma. Respected advisor, and mentor to many.

    My heart goes out to you Edna and family with Garry’s passing . I had the privilege of sitting on committees with Garry over the years and he was an advocate not just for the children in his care but for many a foster parent as well. Many changes happened for the better of all of us because of Garry’s persistence and tenacity.
    May he rest is peace ,well maybe not totally , playing his guitar and entertaining a new audience.

His knowledge, partnership, leadership and approachability will be missed tremendously. My thoughts go out to his entire family and most specifically, Edna. My earliest memory of Gary was accompanying Jo and George to tour their first perspective home in Alliston. They were a little turned off by its outward and inside appearance. However, Gary saw its potential. I was soon to find out that is how he saw everything and everybody. The kindest non judgemental person I have ever known.

    Edna, George, Joyce and June my hearts breaks for your loss. He will be missed so much by you and by everyone who knew him.

      LETTER FROM HEAVEN
      When tomorrow starts without me
      And i am not there to see;

      All filled with tears for me.

      I wish so much you wouldn’t cry
      The way you did today;
      While thinking of the many things
      We didn’t get to say.
