My most sincere sympathies to George’s relatives!
George was the 1st colleague that I met 11 years ago when I joined TD Bank. Learned a lot from him; he was always there for you when you had questions. I’ll always remember his smile and sense of humour.
    May he rest in peace!

Audrey, Donna, Dougie, Sharlene and families. I was very sad to hear
that George had passed away. I’ve known George all my life but what I remember most is our time at MUN in the late 70’s. We shared many laughs and stories together. Then years later he lived here in Bonavista where he was manager of Avco. He was a well loved person for sure, gone too soon. Rest In Peace my friend.

    Audrey, Donna, Doug and Sharlene,
We were so sorry to hear of George’s passing. Calvin didn’t have the pleasure of meeting George but I have told him stories about growing up next door to him.
George didn’t come back home very often after moving away but he always visited mom and dad when he did. We were family.
I have many wonderful memories of George. His laugh and his kind heart is what most everyone who knew him
    will always remember.
Condolences to you all and you are in our thoughts and prayers.

    Dear Baird Family,
I am deeply saddened to hear of George’s passing. George was one of my dearest friends during my later teen years and even though I have only seen him twice since I moved to Alberta, I always cherished my memories of our times together.
He was there for me when I struggled with trigonometry, gave me countless rides back and forth to St John’s, and there were the good times, the dances but mainly the laughter. We
shared the same birthday and I have
some wonderful memories and pictures of those celebrations. He was a blessing in my life and I will cherish my memories of him always.
My deepest condolences to your family and friends.
    Forever in your heart.
    Love & God Bless
    Pam

    Donna, Doug, Sharlene and Audrey,
I was so very very sad to hear about George’s passing. We came up through school together and yes I do remember his laugh. There was always a friendly rivalry between three of us as to who would come first second or third in our exams. George was usually first. I’m sad to say that I haven’t seen George since school. But every now and then he would pop into my head. And I would always smile. That’s how I will always remember George. With a smile. My heart aches for you all. Dallas

    Donna, Rick and family:
As I sit here this Saturday Morning drinking my first cup of coffee and scrolling through Facebook, I see an obituary that took a piece of my heart. The brief time that I lived in Toronto in the ‘80’s, I became friends with a person that I thought of often through the years. We laughed and had so much fun. When we’d get together we weren’t fit to be around.(lol). Donna and Rick would
remember this for sure. The many Saturday nights we all spent together with our Down the Arm friends ( and a scattered straggler)
    Were always filled George’s laugh.
    I loved him dearly.
Thinking of you all at this time.
    RIP my friend……michelle
