Ruth and the extended family of George.
The Tottenham Community has lost a Gem. George’s career and community involvement was focused on making life better for all including the youth. George and Ruth were constantly pitching in, as volunteers in many Tottenham events, including the Bluegrass festival. They knew what to do and quietly got the task completed very successfully. I often thought that they should have been nominated as Volunteers of the year. Our thoughts and prayers are with you at this time.

Dear Ruth
As I heard of George’s passing, so many memories flipped through my mind as I recalled the many times I volunteered with George. Whether it was with our church, Scouts or any other fundraiser George needed help with, his smile and compassion for the cause always had me saying “yes”. I know how much he appreciated your support over the years, as he couldn’t have done it all without you by his side.
I find comfort knowing that such a kind, giving man has found a place in heaven where he is no longer suffering or in pain. May he find God’s peace there until we meet again.
My love and blessings, Pat (and John) James

Dear Ruth and family, we are so very sorry to hear of George’s passing. I knew George long before we moved to Tottenham in 1988. It was the late 70’s when I met him through Blue Hills Academy when he worked for Humber College. I have many fond memories of him from back then and it was so nice to meet up with him again here in Tottenham. It was a pleasure to see him and share our stories. Please know we are holding you in our thoughts and prayers.

Ken and Bonnie Pratt says
George was a true believer in the good in all humans. He saw the best in many in his occupation and in the community in his public service. It was impossible to say no to George as he fundraiser for people in need of help or a community project with his concerts and others projects. Hearing him on the phone drew out a yes, and he was so grateful to work with. He inspired his helpers by his humble personality. Never looking for praise, just looking for a complete project and a happy benefactor. Ruth was his pillar of strength and the best asset in his goals. Tottenham Lions and his other associates have lost a good member but won a shining example of what every community group needs to succeed. God opened the pearly gates to welcome George’s Spirit
