Heather Eleanore Breedon (nee. White)

In Memorial

BREEDON, HeatherAt Matthews House Hospice in Alliston, with her son by her side, Heather peacefully passed away. She was 88 years old.

Heather was a caring wife to the late Allan Breedon, and a loving mother to her children; Jayne Waddington-Dix, the late Jennifer (Jenny) Mitchell, and James (Jim) Breedon. She is remembered as a doting grandmother to her grandchildren; Simon Dix, Sarah and James Mitchell, Jesse and Elea Waddington, and Eric and Sean Breedon. She was a dear great-grandmother to Hunter and Wyatt Dix, and Levi Breedon.

Born in Westmount to Alexander and Eleanore White, Heather was the eldest of four. She treasured her siblings, and in turn their families. Once married she moved north to Bond Head, where she spent the majority of her life. Heather was a kind spirit, and was consistently admired for being well-dressed. Her passions included reading, current events and gardening. Heather had a considerable influence on her surrounding communities. She was involved in raising money for numerous charities and was a member of the Horticultural Society. Heather was most notably an entrepreneur and interior designer, spending nineteen years with business partner and friend, Diane Hill. After Bond Head, she lived in Nobleton, and spent her final years at Riverwood Senior Living Residence in Alliston.

Heather had many life-long friends, and new friends, who she cherished. She was well-known and regarded by her neighbours. Heather was the matriarch of her immediate and extended family and made great efforts to care for them. She will be remembered for the substantial influence she had on others, and will be profoundly missed by all who knew her.

A Memorial Service will be held on Sunday, May 26th, 2024 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Royal Canadian Legion 115 Back St, Bradford, ON L3Z 1W8. Light refreshments will be provided.

My sincere condolences to Heather’s family. Although we didn’t connect often, I so enjoyed reminiscing with her when we did. I cherish the photos and stories of the Humphrey family that she shared with me. I will always remember Heather as a lovely lady.
