My deepest condolences Mrs McGinty, Kim, Dawn and Mike. When I think of Mr McGinty, I think of the countless times (hundreds!) that I would see him shuttling Mike back and forth to games, practices, etc. Mr. McGinty had a gentle way about him and always had a ready smile for all of Mike’s friends.
I can’t imagine the loss that you are feeling right now. My thoughts are with you during this difficult time.

Helen, I haven’t seen you for some time at bid euchre but thought of you two as you were always cheerful, kind and happy with each other. Saw Jack once or twice at Tim Horton’s and he told me about his frequency there chatting with his friends. You may not remember me at cards as I was a newbie and not a great player but you two made a lasting impression. I can’t imagine your pain but trust that your bond with Jack and good times will sustain you through some of the dark days so you will see sunshine always.

Mark and I were shocked to learn of Jack’s passing and to think how hard this loss must be for the entire McGinty family. Jack was always a pleasure to chat with. Last time we saw Jack was at his Uncle Paul’s funeral in Collingwood. Jack was always warm, friendly and genuine as we shared stories. Jack was well respected by my late parents Mervin and Marie Mason.

I only knew Jack and Helen for 5 years, playing bid euchre at the Rec Centre in Alliston, and 3 of those years were during Covid, when we couldn’t play. I admired Jack for his calm demeanor and his gentle whit. He was always very pleasant to play with and never showed any sign of disappointment when I didn’t make my bid. Of course Helen was well known too, especially for the weekly treats that she brought from her kitchen. Helen, I’m sure there is a big hole in your daily life without Jack and your children will be a big comfort to you as you struggle to find a new normal in your daily routine. God bless you and your family.
