Joe Beers

In Memorial

Beers Joseph RetouchedJoseph Robert Beers;
Joe was taken suddenly while vacationing on February 10, 2026, in his 64th year, loving husband and best friend of Anne Beers (nee Clarke). Cherished father of Melissa Beers (Colin) and Brianna Beers (Steve). Sadly missed by his grandchildren Jackson, Hunter, Remi, Capri and Austin. Pre-deceased Mother Margaret Gillies (Clarence) and Father Bob Beers.

Dear brother of Mike Beers (Juanita), Sarah Topping (Tyler), Christina Beers and the late Anne Bontje (Greg). Lovingly remembered by his Father-in-law Gus Clarke and pre-deceased Mother-in-law Bridie, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law Mike Clarke (Carol), Sheila Kearns (Jeff), Irene Mayer (Keith), Dave Kearns (Sue).

Forever in the hearts of his uncle Martin, Aunt Fay, his nephews Jason, Matthew (Mindy), Trevor (Carry), Logan, Cole, Aaden, Elliott, Jamie (Antoinette), Kyle and his nieces, Lissa (Peter), Caitlin, Ivy, Patricia (Shane), Jayme and pre-deceased Lindsay and Darci Beers as well as his many cousins, great-nieces and great-nephews.

Joe loved life and made the most of everyday. Family always came first, then his passion for fishing, golfing and playing games with his grandsons and all his friendships made over the years.
Joe’s passion for fishing and golfing was passed down to his daughters and grandsons and so many other children over the years. He loved watching their experiences as much as his own.
Joe spent his life making us laugh, such a special gift to give to everyone.

The family will receive friends at Rod Abrams Funeral Home, 1666 Tottenham Rd., Tottenham 905-936-3477, on Sunday April 12, 2026 from 10am-noon. Immediately followed by a Celebration and time of sharing memories to take place at The Royal Canadian Legion Tottenham Branch 329, 25 Richmond St., East, Tottenham, from 1pm-5pm.

In lieu of flowers, donations to The Children’s Treatment Centre at Belleville General Hospital or a charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family. Online condolences and memories may be left for the family at www.RodAbramsFuneralHome.com.Gone Fishing Sign Beers

My heart goes out to you Anne and family.
It’s been many years since I saw Joe last. He had a great sense of humour and a smile that was so memorable. We spent many years in class together and hockey as well.

Thank you. Joe spoke about you often and your dad’s hardware store in town. Joe was so happy to see your son, Travis wear a Toronto Maple Leafs jersey. He loved his leafs and loved watching his grandson Jackson play hockey when he no longer could…too hard on the knees!

I am deeply saddened Anne, Melissa, Brianna, Jackson and Hunter. Anne my heart breaks for you and your family. Joe was always the happy jokester guy that loved life and his family to the fullest. Howard and I shared so many memories over the years. I was fortunate that Anne and Joe invited me to Barbados a couple of years ago, and it wasn’t the house that the chickens roamed in (haha). Joe said “if you come you can entertain Anne and I could fish more”. Joe was loved by so many. RIP Joe

Thank you Sandy and Peter for your kind words. The best times on the island were the friendships made from the beautiful people that live there. You are both so sweet and kind and of course Joe’s famous poster dancing up a storm at your anniversary party at Joan’s will forever be another cherished memory

      Hi Dave and Star
So many memories and he always had great stories to share with me when he had his time away with you Dave and the rest of the “poker guy family” on golf trips. Such a great group of friends.
Joe was always amazed at the effort you put into your amazing signature ceasar salad for everyone and your eggs Benedict!
He always let me know you were asking about me and sending your regards
      Miss you both

Thank you Barry and family. I’m sorry I wasn’t able to connect with you when I was passing through Cork last year. Wasn’t enough time and you were a little away from the train station. Next visit I will plan better to meet up or you and family are always welcome here if you plan a visit to Canada.
