Keith Charles Wellington Porter passed away peacefully with his girls by his side, on Sunday, December 18th, 2022, at Matthews House Hospice, at the age of 80 years. Proud father of Brian (Virginia), Michael (Claudia), Julie (Steve) and Diane (Steve). Lovingly remembered by his grandchildren James, Amanda, Lauren, Matthew, Megan, Brandon, Lacey, Owen and Tristan. Best friend to Doug Robertson. Fondly remembered by the mother of his children, Eleanor McDevitt. Forever in the hearts of his extended family and friends. Keith was a long-time worker for the Simcoe County Roads Department.
He was an incredibly proud father to “his girls” and boys. He was a true country boy his entire life, right to the very end and was a life-long resident of Simcoe County. He could always be found tinkering in his garage, or hauling his next load of scrap metal with his faithful companion by his side, “the mutt dog”.
He appreciated the simple things in life, whether it was having a beer by the wood stove, sitting in his garage watching the rain come down, the company of friends and family, or a good roast beef dinner. He was a kind-hearted family man who took great pride in watching his grandchildren grow up. Memorial visitation will be held at Rod Abrams Funeral Home, 1666 Tottenham Road, Tottenham Ontario L0G1W0, on Friday December 30, 2022 from 12:00pm until time of Memorial service in the chapel at 2:00pm.
