Lipsett: LaVerne Orval,
At Georgian Bay Hospital Midland on Wednesday November 9, 2016. LaVerne Lipsett in his 84th year, beloved husband of Nora McLean. Loving father of Steve Lipsett (Cindy), and Tiffany Boyle (Doug). Dear step father of Lee-Ann McLean, and Tammy Watson (Nigel). Remembered with love by his grandchildren: Emma, Maude, Matthew, Khris (Jessica), Jordan, Star (Chris), Melissa (Drew), David, Cydney, McLean, and Hannah. Sadly missed by his siblings: Lorna Ferguson (the late Don), Lorne (Doreen), Margaret Patterson (Norval), Norm (Mary), Calvin (Judy), Norval (Karen), and predeceased by Reginald and Leonard. Forever in the hearts of all his extended family and friends.
The family will receive friends at Rod Abrams Funeral Home 1666 Tottenham Rd., Tottenham 905-936-3477 on Monday November 14, 2016 from 2-4 and 7-9pm. Funeral service will be held in the chapel on Tuesday November 15, 2016 at 11am. Interment to follow in Morningside Cemetery Palgrave.
For those who wish, donations to the Georgian Bay General Hospital Foundation (Box 760, Midland, ON L4R 4P4, www.526give.ca, would be appreciated by the family.

    I miss you grandpa. Your birthday is only a few days away, and I can’t help but cry. You are my hero. My blessings and the man who taught me many valuable lessons.     We will remember LaVerne for his wonderful smile and great stories. LaVerne always made such a big fuss over Mom….. and Mom was always happy to see him. I’m sure that their spirits are together once again.

    We had the pleasure to meet this resilient man many years ago – what a warm, kind hearted and easy going man. We christened him Ma-Verne those years ago when Mytchel met him at the farm… .
