McCullough: Lois Emilie
It is with deep sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Lois McCullough (nee Letts) on Sunday, January 14th, 2024, in her 85th year. She will forever be in the hearts of her 3 children, Brad (Nancy), Dave, & Dee Dee (Andrew Verlinde), as well as her adored grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Dear sister of the late Donnie ‘Trucker’ (late Barb), Joan (late Garry Burton), and Brenda (Phil Bradley). Loved by her nieces and nephews and extended family. In heaven, she’ll join her beloved granddaughter, Jade.
Lois will be remembered by her many Beeton friends as the local Postmaster, a committed ‘Happy Hooker’ (crochet and knitting club), and a Saturday night card player. As she never got her driver’s licence, she could be found speeding around Beeton on her bike on the way to the grocery store or to visit her family and friends. Lois spent the past 6 years living a contented and happy life at Riverwood Senior Living surrounded by many friends and a wonderfully caring staff.
Please join the family at Rod Abrams Funeral Home, 1666 Tottenham Road, Tottenham 905-936-3477 for a drop-in Celebration of Life on Saturday, January 20th, 2024 from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. Short speeches will occur at 1 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to SickKids Hospital or The Heart & Stroke Foundation. Online condolences and memories may be left for the family at www.RodAbramsFuneralHome.com.

Dear Dee Dee and family
So very sorry to just learn of your mom’s passing.
Such a wonderful lady. She was one of the first people we met when moving to Beeton in 78 and got to know her through different get togethers and functions. She was always so friendly and lots of fun. We never did have our bicycle race and Alan take her for a motorcycle ride. You are all in our thoughts,hearts and prayers.
Love and happy memories

Mom and Lois had many laughs together. I loved hearing the “Happy Hooker” stories and the many adventures on the bus trips. Great times for great friends.

Ellen Fox says
To All the Family of Lois;
I have only had the privilege of knowing your mom since the spring of 2017. Both my Mom and Dad, Martin and Alice Semple, joined her at Riverwood and she was a bright light for both my Mom and Dad. She and my Mom walked the halls and they sat at the front reception area at Riverwood together. In November, 2022, my mom’s twin, Betty Isaksson, joined the fray and they had much fun together. I visited 3 times a week until Mom passed in November, 2022 and Dad moved in February, 2024 to The Good Samaritan’s. I continued to visit weekly to see my aunt and your mom still continued to greet me and others at the door at reception always with a warm smile and sincere hello.
I will miss her presence and offer my sympathy to all of you on your loss. Lois was a wonderful light at Riverwood and I know she’ll be sorely missed.
Dee Dee Verlinde says
