Andrews Lynn

Andrews: Lynn Frances
April 2, 1951 – March 24, 2022
It is with great sadness that the family of Lynn (Whaley) Andrews announce her sudden passing at Brampton Civic Hospital on Thursday, March 24, 2022 at the age of 70.
Beloved mother of Matthew (Debby). She will be sadly missed by her grandson Christopher. Dear sister of Trish Mehrasa, Jan Hudson, Cher Dawson and the late Shawn Whaley and Mark Whaley.

Much loved mother, grandmother and sister, Lynn will be remembered for her caring nature and passion for life. She was best known for her exceptional talent in the kitchen and took immense pride and pleasure in spending all day cooking for those she loved. She greatly enjoyed the beauty of the outdoors with family and friends, whether it be up north or at the family cottage at Rondeau. She delighted most of all in her beautiful young grandson and took such joy in recounting his latest milestones. Lynn was dedicated to her family and she will be deeply missed.
A funeral service will be held at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 200 Alder Street, Orangeville on Wednesday March 30th at 11:00 am. Interment will follow on Thursday March 31st, 2022 at the Maple Leaf Cemetery, 55 Maple Leaf Drive, Chatham, Ontario at 12:00 pm. Arrangements entrusted to Rod Abrams Funeral Home, Tottenham. 905-936-3477.

When I received the message that Lynn had passed, I was overcome with sadness. So unexpected. The road of life is a mysterious journey. I will remember Lynn not just as a friend but as a kind and sparkling soul. A spirit filled with life and energy. I will pray that all those whose life she touched find solace in the fact that her life was not only important but that the pleasure of her company, her presence in our lives, was a blessing to all.

My deepest condolences to all those who loved Lynn.

My name is Caitlin Perry. I knew Lynn for a huge chunk of most of my formative years. I considered her a mother figure and Matthew a younger brother.
She was kind and caring. Full of laughter and passion.
Two of my favourite memories I’d like to share:
As a child, I spent my school breaks with my dad. Often, if he had to work on the weekday, I would get dropped off at Lynn and Matthew’s apartment in Toronto for the day. We would always walk to the mall and she would buy us these yummy muffins. It was such a treat.
Fast forward to maybe around 2000 or so. Lynn and Matthew were up visiting dad and I in Huntsville. Dad, ever the DJ, was playing some tunes and Blue Canoe by Elton John came on. Lynn was thrilled and started dancing, and Matthew wanted to be picked up and dance with her. Her joy was contagious and soon all 4 of us were having an impromptu mini dance party in the living room. It’s a precious memory.
I feel so blessed to have had Lynn in my life. My thoughts are with you.

So sad to hear of Lynns passing. Our family has so many memories of summer visits to Rondeau with Lynn, Trish and Jan and their kids. She will be sorely missed.
    Sympathies Brooek and Paula Jones
