Our sincere sympathies to all the Dol families.
Joe and Maria were our next door sod neighbours for many, many years( ?? 30 or more).
Many a fun time we had in their kitchen at snowmobile parties and other gatherings and at conventions . We were so happy that when they retired that they had some quality time to spend together on their boat and in their new home.
Our condolences to everyone. Many all your memories be happy ones –

I would like to offer my sincere condolences to all the family and friends of Mrs. Dol.
She was a true matriarch of the family and the gel that molded it together.
Although I did not know her as well as others, I found her to be a person of quiet humor, kindness and hospitality who truly loved her family.
She was very kind and loved my niece Corrine and was always kind to her sister Kathleen and my sisters Linn and Ruth.
It is said that ” grief is the price we pay for Love”. I know all the family and friends are grieving at this time but I pray that their bountiful love for her will overcome that grief in time.

I have had the great fortune of knowing the whole Dol family for over 50 years, first working for Joe and Maria in the sod fields to working with Gord, Steve and Roger in their businesses. Maria was a wonderful lady and will be sadly missed.

Dear Gordon, Stephen and Roger and families,

Sincerest condolences upon the passing of your Mom. I have warm memories of the times spent together between the Vanderpost and Vanderploeg families. Please remember her in the following poem:

Miss Me a Little But Let Me Go

When I come to the end of the road
And the sun has set for me.
I want no rites in a gloom-filled room
Why cry for a soul set free?

Miss me a little-but not too long.
And not your head bowed low.
Remember the love that we once shared
    Miss me-but let me go.

For this is a journey that we all must take
    And each must go alone.
It’s all part of the Master’s plan
A step on the road to home.

When you are lonely and sick at heart
Go to the friends we know
And bury your sorrows in good deed
    Miss me-but let me go.

Dear Gordon, Stephen and Roger with families,
It is with great sadness that we learned of the passing of your beloved mother. We wish to express our deepest condolences to you and your families. My mum has very fond memories of their childhood spent almost as sisters in Holland. She remembers their first day of school where they sat next to each other. She told me how hard it was to say goodbye to her when the family left to start a new life in Canada in the 1950s. Years later they saw each other again during wonderful vacations here in Holland and in Canada. And in recent years they often spoke on the phone, which my mum will miss very much.We wish you boys strength during this difficult time. May the loving memories give you peace and comfort.
Love from Aunt Joop and Pauline
