Peacefully passed away at Brampton Civic Hospital, on April 8, 2024. Marijan “Mario”,62, beloved son of Barbara and the late Slavko Cemas. Loving brother of Stan, Irene (Stefan Kash) and Stefan. Sadly missed by his niece and nephew Madeleine and Michael. Forever in the hearts of his many cousins, aunts, uncles, extended family and friends both here and in Slovenia.
The family will receive friends at Rod Abrams Funeral Home 1666 Tottenham Rd., Tottenham 905-936-3477, on Monday, April 15, 2024, from 4pm – 8pm.
A Mass of Catholic Faith will be held at St. James Church, Colgan on Tuesday, April 16 at 10:30 am with interment to follow in Assumption Catholic Cemetery 6933 Tomken Rd, Mississauga, ON. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made with appreciation from the family in Mario’s memory to Wellspring Chinguacousy cancer support services. Mario was a great gentleman always going to his furthest lengths to help others and greet everyone. He was such a kind soul, always enjoying the sunny days, and he watched me grow up from when I was in elementary school all the way to my graduation. He was close with my father and always left me wanting to follow in his footsteps in his kindness, and his mannerisms. May he rest in peace, and watch over us. Our hearts feel for him, and will miss his presence deeply.

Mario was a kind, thoughtful and caring family member. He went to great lengths to make distinctive gifts by hand for his neisce and nephew. He also will be missed and mourned for all the assistance he provided to his lovely Mom.
It is a sad loss to all that leaves an empty space to many. Hopefully knowing that he is at peace now will help bring some comfort. May God be with his family and friends.

My family and I offer heartfelt condolences for the passing of Mario, a prominent and well known neighbour on Sal Circle. Mario had always been very kind to us, offering to use his snow machine to remove large banks at the end of the driveway. I miss seeing him outside, mowing the lawn, picking garbage and cleaning the streets of litter. He had a big heart and I will miss hearing about how Trudeau and Jagmeet sent the country into ruins. We always had a good chuckle about that. Going to miss you loads my friend, take care and rest in peace!
