Barb, Christine, Carol, Janet, Jim and your children, and grandchildren, we are thinking of you and share in your sadness. Your mom really was a grand lady, kind, with a strength of purpose and beautiful too. She raised her daughters well and their families and future generations will all in some way benefit from the strength of character and wisdom she imparted. I know that she was one of my early female role models. And, apparently, according to my brothers, I inherited the “Aunt Mary look” that could stop them in their tracks when as youngsters their rough housing was getting out of hand. I took it as a compliment!
Maureen Holloway says
Dear Christine and family,
We were saddened by the news of your Mom’s passing. Words no matter how kind can’t mend your heartache. As you celebrate the life your Mom lived may you find comfort by remembering the good times you shared as a family.

So sorry to hear of Mary’s passing I have fond memories of driving to Malton to catch the train to go downtown Toronto to work. A few times she would have to honk the horn to get me up. Lol. Always so patient.
My thoughts and prayers are with you all.

Thinking about you at this very hard time. Your mom was such an incredible woman. Brought up 4 daughters on her own and did a fine job doing it. I was very blessed to have known her and her caring ways. She used to call me every year on my birthday and always asked about my grandkids.
Now she is reunited with her beloved Jim again.
Love Janice, Colin, Lindsay, Adam and families
